Ms. Sonia Gupta

Born on 18th September, 1992 at Shimla, in the family of Sh. Leela Dutt and Smt. Poonam. Did BA. LLB(Hon’s) from UILS, Ava Lodge, Chaura Maidan, Shimla in 2009-14 and thereafter, did LLM from Kurukshetra University in 2017-19. Worked as a Law clerk-Cum-Research assistant for Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sureshwar Thakur, Judge, Hon’ble High Court of Himachal Pradesh in 2016-17. Thereafter, worked as Assistant District Attorney in the State of Himachal Pradesh from September 2019 to January 2022. Joined Himachal Pradesh Judicial Service in the year 2022. After undergoing induction training for six months at Himachal Pradesh Judicial Academy, on first posting, served as Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate, court no.2, Rohru till 29 March, 2023. Remained posted as Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Court no.8, Shimla from 06.04.2023 to 16.04.2024. Thereafter, on transfer assumed the charge of Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Bilaspur on 20.04.2024
